Our students will enjoy this project-based lesson in Life Cycles. We are going to explore the stages of a butterfly's life cycle. Our class will begin by sketching the life cycle of a monarch butterfly. Students will engage their creative sides by modeling the caterpillars, chrysalises, and butterflies in clay. We will further engage our students understanding by allowing them to realistically paint each item.
Our life science project-based lesson will engage our students on multiple academic levels including creating, collaborating with others and self-awareness in our community.
This will help the students to impact our ecosystem in Houston surrounding the bayous.
