When students find out math is involved in Chemistry, they often shut down and refuse to even try because they are afraid to fail. By having the scientific calculators, they will learn new skills and become more confident in their own abilities. Once students are more self-assured in their capacity to solve basic math equations, they will find that Chemistry is not so difficult and will attempt the more challenging problems.
