These rhythm instruments will benefit the drumming ensemble experience for my students. Each of these instruments will help to create a different sound and tone color as the students are creating a rhythm ensemble. One of the projects I will be asking my students to complete is a world rhythm composition project. As students begin the composition process, these instruments will be essential to provide options for the students' rhythm compositions. These instruments will help to create different "world" sounds in their compositions. The drums will help create a more "native american" sound. The wooden egg shakers, guiros, and the vibra-slap will help to create a more latin-american sound. I am looking forward to all of the additional compositional possibilities these instruments will provide!
