I am a first year teacher and my classroom library is lacking some books that are age level appropriate for my first grade babies! I teach in a Title 1 school so funds are low for extra resources that may benefit the classroom but aren’t technically “necessary.” The book bins will allow students to keep books in a safe place without getting damaged or misplaced. The students will love having their own book bins. I feel as if it will help them to find enjoyment in picking out books for them to keep while they are reading them. The books that I have chosen are specific titles and series that the kids have enjoyed me playing from YouTube read alouds. I would like to have physical copies that the kids could keep temporarily in their book bins so they can enjoy them independently!
