As soon as a someone walks in our classroom, all they will see is a pile of backpacks by the wall. There are no options for backpack storage in our classroom because we use our cubbies to store our everyday learning project-based materials we use. Putting backpacks and daily learning materials such as our ELA, math and science notebooks together become an unsafe situation learning environment for students.
This backpack cart would give my first graders a safer alternative for storage.
Having this cart would help my students learn how to stay organized and responsible for their materials when we are learning our project-based activities and lesson. Each child will place their backpack on a hook and the cart can be rolled outside. Having this cart will cleaning up easier. Instead of searching through the pile of backpacks, students can grab their backpack and get cleaned up.
