Books are so important to these students. They enjoy being read to as well as reading on their own. Many of our students do not have access to books at home. Our school does not have its own library for students to access. As the school's reading interventionist, I want to build a classroom library not only for the students but also for other teachers in the building to access as well. The books I have chosen show diversity and inclusivity as well as promote self-awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.
