As a fourth grade teacher, my students are inquisitive and curious learners, especially about the world around them! The variety of genres, including fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and plays will help my students stay engaged, while also learning about their world, past, present, and future. Through Storyworks, I will be able to provide students with engaging, high-interest genres and topics both at school and home. The magazine publication will allow students to interact and read, while igniting their sense of wonder. I will also have access to the online component for students to interact with texts and videos. Storyworks will allow my students to become more engaged and better readers by reading text and topics that are appealing to them. Through the components of Scholastic Storyworks, I can provide whole group and small group scaffold to meet the needs of all of my diverse learners, and grow my readers' love for reading and learning!
