I want to bring the world into my classroom. My students live on the Island of Kauai. Many students have not been to the other side of the island much less realize that there is a whole world out there across the Pacific. No two students learn the same way. Scholastic News has differentiation tools to support every type of learner. This magazine builds knowledge and engagement with high-interest articles that bring science and social studies topics to life. While reading these articles we will be building our critical thinking, vocabulary, using visuals, comprehension, active participation, making predictions, main ideas and problem solving. Students will enjoy reading these in school and at home opening there minds and eyes to the world!!
