Over the years I’ve found that more of my students are dealing with many stressors in their day to day life. I would like to provide my high anxiety students and students with autism with sensory calming toys and coping skills workbooks that contain exercises and worksheets.
These will help them regroup and return to learning, so they can feel successful in my classroom. They will be available for when they feel they need a break time without having to leave the classroom. The workbooks will provide me with strategies to better serve these students and allow students to be proactive with self-help.
