These tablets will help my students get exposure to some of the technology that surrounds the daily world. Since most of my students don’t have access to a computer or the internet, this makes it impossible to assign any work that requires a computer/internet access. My school launched the iReady program this year, and my students will not be able to access it in my classroom without tablets. This program has significant data to not only test students math and ELA comprehension abilities, but to give each student specific lessons made just for their current abilities. With the use of this program, students have been shown to grow more than one grade level in both math and ELA in one school year. This technology could help my students that are 2-3 grade levels behind (75% of my class) reach their grade level benchmark by the end of the year.
