Something as simple as a binder with pockets will help my students feel organized and successful. The overwhelming majority of their guardians cannot afford basic supplies, such as paper and pencils, much less a binder! The binders will allow them to track their learning throughout the year, teaching them valuable skills, such as organization and respect for materials. They will be able to neatly and efficiently create sections for anchor charts, mentor texts and authentic assignments they can refer to all year long.
Our area has adopted a new curriculum for ELAR. The materials are consumable and my kids need a way to maintain them. Please help my students be "Bound for Life." These binders are a metaphor for organizational skills they will use throughout their lives!
