All students learn best when they have the right materials. This can be a challenge when considering virtual or hybrid learning. With new protocols in place to keep kids safe "in school," students will need individual manipulatives and supplies. Reading & Math Tool Kits will support student "virtual Learning" at home as well. I would like to prepare for all scenarios and be able to provide these kits to my class this year. Even if I end up delivering them to their door step!
Reading & Math Tool Kits contain open ended and reusable materials that will support my students for the whole school year!
I plan to add additional resources that I print, laminate and prepare myself as well.
When thinking about virtual learning, it is important to continue to support multiple learning styles and levels at home. For first grade this means including songs, video clips, screencasts, live lessons, self-paced lessons, printable materials, virtual manipulatives/lessons and hands-on materials. Having these kits ready for families in the fall will make learning easier and accessible for all my students. Helping to ease some of the stress parents felt in March.
