Technology changes the world of students with special needs. iPads will help our students access curriculum in general education. In addition, it will give our students another vessel to help them access material in all classes and make binds with general education students.
Technology breaks down barriers!
It will give my students a voice. It will help my students be more involved in their education. My students want to work on the iPad so they can demonstrate the knowledge they have. It is motivating to help them do academics. It also helps socially and its soothes students who are having a meltdown. The iPad is also more accessible for students who have learning or coordination difficulties. Most students who use the iPad find that tapping and sliding motions are much easier than typing. iPads can also go wherever the child goes, which means they have ways to calm, focus, and learn while on-the-go. These iPads will change the atmosphere in my classroom.
