The pool is a great place for all of our students to exercise. Our Students with Autism love swimming underwater and feeling the pressure on thier bodies. Our students with Cerebral Palsey and other motor disfunction love to move in the weightless environment provided by the pool. The pool is very motivating, but some students want to participate in "normal" activities like basketball or diving for rings. These are activities they see in their neighborhood pools and community centers.
Providing the students with proper equipment (ie. a water basketball hoop, goggles to swim under water) will help them to participate in these activities with family and will motivate them to move.
