Math manipulatives would be a great plus for kids' hands-on experiences and fun of math learning. I chose concrete manipulative of various kinds to enrich kids' counting, sorting, comparing and grouping experiences, and the ten-frame manipulative is a big leap from concrete to conceptual for kids. They will be used in the activities of representing numbers, grouping and regrouping tens and ones in addition and subtraction within 100.​ Besides massive usage in Math, I will also use them for language learning. Immersion language can help kids master daily oral language in a speedy way, but academic language is not as easy. The counter library can be used in different topics and settings such as science and social studies, and absolutely in the writer's workshop. Kids would love to use the vocabularies that so visualized in front of them.
