I have always had a great love for books and reading. It was my favorite subject in school. I want to pass that great love for reading to my students. I also want them to learn that reading allows them to dive into adventures they'd never thought they'd get to go on. These adventures may be self-discovery adventures, adventures into the world of fantasy, or educational adventures where they learn about important figures in history. These books will add depth to my lessons in that they'll be used in partnership with concepts such as describing character traits, breaking down main ideas, and even multiplication. Books make these concepts more applicable to the students. When they're able to read about their favorite character working on multiplication, they're much more likely to be interested in taking on the challenge.
