Mrs. Karen Orta is celebrating 10 years teaching math in Alief ISD! An Alief Elsik alum and TEA Exemplary Educator, she now teaches Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II at Kerr High School. Her students learn in a unique math center, 150 learners and 5 math teachers in a shared space, using Chromebooks and self-paced Schoology courses. This model fosters personalized learning and targeted small-group support.
