My goal as a teacher is to create a school family, a place these students will feel loved and comfortable along with instilling a love for learning at an early age. Walking into a new classroom with 17 other children can be intimidating for a child! To help ease the transition from home to school, I want to create a cozy, inviting Library area for my students to go to when they’re feeling anxious, missing family, or just need a minute to calm down. Having child sized furniture with soft fabrics is important for young students to feel comfortable. An inviting Library area also increases the likelihood of children interacting with books!
