My project is focused on building a library of books to be used by individuals and groups of students. I plan to use some of the books as resources for a series of small group lessons. Although these books have the potential to supports students in all grade levels, they will primarily be used with students in grades 2 through 6.
The books, I have selected for my project, are focused on helping school age children learn about and develop essential social emotional skills. I would like to help our "lady leaders," especially those with ADHD and related difficulties, improve their executive functioning skills (e.g. planning, organizing, self-control), build their growth mindsets and increase mindfulness, and to further develop their social emotional skills.
