I tell my students all the time that I work best sitting on the floor (criss cross whatever kind of sauce) and that I don't expect them to do their work at a standard desk either. If that's not how I am productive, it would be silly of me to think that is how they can be productive. (Unless that is their choice.) It is important to give our kiddos choices so that they are involved in their learning and where they sit/stand in the classroom is no different. I am hoping that the flexible seating chosen creates an environment that my young learning want to be in.
