The goal behind this program is to give my scholars the opportunity to explore their artistic abilities through a 6 week program that will teach the basics of the color theory and painting techniques, it will also provide the skills to create school-wide artwork to encourage all of our scholars that we are college-bound (which is our schools mission)! These projects will include creating lion heads out of modeling clay, learning the basics of stenciling and how to paint a mural.
Our school-wide projects will instill the confidence they need in order to let their voices be heard as they stand up against the face of adversity.
