My elementary students will have the opportunity to learn how to play something other than a recorder. Parents will be happy that it's not a recorder too! Through playing a ukelele, students will also hear harmony early on and it will help them learn more about music quicker. Please help me with this project so I can get an after school music group program going. This will also be a great incentive in my classroom for a chance to be chosen to get this great responsibility that not all kids will be able to have. There's a plus side of it sounding better than a recorder!
