My third grade students are a unique and diverse group of learners. In my math and science classroom, I strive to allow my students to connect the science and math concepts we are learning to real world aspects. Through hands-on, STEM based activities, and math manipulatives, my students will be provided opportunity to enhance their skills while working collaboratively with peers. After all, the future of the world is in my classroom.
I want my students to have opportunity to design, build, test, and refine their creations through student led activities. The Breakout kits, Gears and other building materials will foster the learning environment of my students in so many ways. Vocabulary, problem solving, critical thinking skills, and application of content are a few of the areas that will be enhanced through these activities.
