Imagine a classroom where students don't just sit in the same spaces. A classroom where students read on yoga mats or brainstorm math problems in a circle of stools. They could release some energy while seated on an exercise ball as they write a story.
My purpose for these materials is to have students chose different seating options throughout the day. Students will feel empowered by having some choice and control over their environments. Flexible seating allows students to find comfortable positions throughout the classroom and thus helps them to be calm, focused and productive. Comfortable students love to learn.
