This rug will give my students a place to visually see and know where to go during workshop time. This place will be the spot to go to during read aloud, share time, and good news time. Instead of being distant with sitting in spaced out desks, the rug will allow our class to come together and not strain to see or hear.
Our classroom community will be strengthened. Because we will have a place that we can all come together to learn and discuss topics. Having a specific spot for this will create routine and comfort for many students which will enhance their learning experience. Routine is important for many students, and having this place that will become the place to go for reading or share time, that routine will be created.
