This library will help to build the classroom community I strive to create. The books in the collection will speak to all of my students, as there really is something for everyone included in the book sets. The diverse literary works will provide options that are relevant and meaningful for my students. Independent reading is strongly encouraged, and I know my students will be thankful for new books that they can call their own.
With these new books, all of my students will be able to read independently and can choose a book that meets their interests and their learning needs.
The best way to encourage my students to read is by providing them with opportunities to read more. Empathy, creativity, and self-expression will be taught through the words of a book that relates to their own experiences. This project will help bring diversity in literature to my classroom so my students can continue to grow and learn as young scholars!
