My students come from poverty stricken backgrounds where they do not get the ability to experience math and science materials. Many of them are experiencing school for the first time and don't understand any math and science concepts. These items will help them to investigate, experiment, explore, and learn all while enjoying play time in the classroom. These materials will help me to teach early math and science concepts like counting, patterns, number recognition, shapes, predicting, thinking, and exploring. I will use these materials to instill higher level thinking skills and to let my students know that they are capable of anything. All things important when preparing to enter kindergarten.
