My superstars are smart and super friendly sometimes a bit much, once you get to know them, they'll steal your heart! Most of them have been remote for a whole year and truly have been adjusting to being together incredibly. It’s amazing to see how much they love and care for one another. Empathy in our classroom is palpable the minute anyone walks in.
Our class is made up of many students with special needs, and students at all different academic levels. Nonetheless, they're enthusiastic about learning, they're humorous and every day they show how resilient they are regardless of their individual situation. These are the things that make our kids special!
Unfortunately, most of my students come from low-income families who hardly make ends meet, so it's practically impossible for our families to contribute much to everything my students need to have a successful school year.
