I am a third year teacher and this year I had the privilege of moving from a portable to a classroom inside the building. I was very excited for the extra storage and bigger room. After moving I realized that the tables in the classroom that the students will use do not have drawers where they can store their personal supplies and curriculum materials.
As of right now students pile everything from notebooks to glue sticks on top of their table. They have been awesome about not complaining and working with what we've got but I do see the frustration on their faces when someone accidently bumps the table and their pencils roll down.
Having the storage sacks at their seats would help clear out their working space and allow them to better organize themselves. Although I listed that this project will help 27 students it will actually help more than that because I will be able to re-use them every year!
