This project will help give my students a specific place to gather together (for preschool through second graders) to hear stories and then to see some of those stories come to life through flannel boards and then be able to respond to those stories on individual white boards. This will help students feel connected and give them a voice. Students have a need to feel connected and having a special spot helps keep younger kids on track and gives them a sense of familiarity. The library is very small and needs a sense of hominess to help students and staff feel more comfortable when they visit.
