Most of my students benefit from listening to the stories and novels, because of their limited English proficiency and special education needs. My co-teacher and myself do our best to find audio versions of for students to listen to.
Our English language learners and special education students need to hear the information multiple times for learning to take place. We would greatly benefit from being able to have class sets readily available for students to use and also to borrow to take home. We adapt reading materials to meet their independent reading levels, but ear buds are a pricey item for many families.
