These materials will allow my students to design their robots using CAD software and print out their plan for the construction phase. In the beginning stages of building a robot the students have great ideas about what they want to design and are capable of using the CAD software to model their ideas. We currently have no way for them to get a paper print to follow when they are building so a printer would be nice! Usually their first "prototype" has to be adjusted and several stages of planning and remodeling tale place we go through a few designs. Additionally some of the process will require that they custom cut metal parts for their robots and the rotary tools are the best way to achieve that. Also the portability of a rotary tool ensures that adjustments can be made on site when we go to competitions.
