Cedartown is a growing community, so each year the amount of students at our school has grown. Our current student total is 1200. About 350 of those students are 8th graders, and about 400 of those students are 6th graders, so as you can see, the number students at our school is projected to keep growing.
As a result, the current amount of chairs that are currently in my classroom are not enough, so some students are having to stand up during class. If I am able to get the stools requested, the students in my class will have a place to sit.
According to Maslow's Hierarch of Needs, students must feel that their physical needs are met before they are able to learn effectively. Having someplace for them to sit will allow them to work and learn more effectively. Thank you for your help with this.
