Reading Non-Fiction books with students is an extremely important part of Kindergarten. Kindergartners learn sight words, print concepts, reading and writing. Introducing various types of text is another component of kindergarten literacy. Teaching the difference between fiction and nonfiction requires students to understand the difference between real and make-believe. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. By providing children books that appeal to their interests and curiosities, you are allowing them to explore and read material they think is fun, while also learning the various types of text necessary at the Kindergarten level.
