Working with different age groups and developmental levels can be a challenge for large group work. By presenting the students with hands on materials and engaging science concepts, I will be able to make sure all students are interacting with the science lessons and their class peers.
By working together every student can learn, not only science but important social and life skills! We will use these materials during out weekly science groups to encourage content exploration along with social skills such as sharing and turn taking. We will pair the materials with stories at circle time and materials throughout the school day, for example butterfly manipulative for math while studying the butterfly life cycle.
