My extremely talented 8th grade students write creatively two times each week! To mix things up, I would like afford them the opportunity to get up and moving on our "walking tour" around the school. Incorporating photography along the way, will encourage them to bring out a more personal side to their writing. Using a picture that they capture on the tour, and one that interests them, will give students a visual as they write, allowing their creativity to SOAR! Students will be able to attach the photo they take to their writing piece and display their work of art in our school, if they wish.
A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words! To a middle school student, being able to feel comfortable enough in a classroom environment to express themselves does wonders for their self confidence. It often encourages them to want to share their writing pieces with their peers by reading aloud.
Please help my classroom kids express their creativity through this fun Polaroid Project!
