At our school, we have band instruments but zero music stands. This year we are incorporating band during school hours, and students are very excited to learning instruments. Thanks to a grant that funded our instruments, students have access to flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets and trombones.
However, our band classes would be very difficult without music stands to place our music on. Many of our students speak Spanish as their first language and are also learning how to read, write and perform music. Literacy is a huge component of learning, and music stands will make this happen!
