I set up an area in my classroom where children are allowed to come over and calm down. We use sensory items and they can ask for one on one time. Our children even though they are little get overwhelmed and sometimes they need help calm down and relieving some stress. This area of my room allows them to learn self-help skills, they learn how to come with their own emotions. The kids know they can ask for a teacher to come over and we can learn and play with them. These toys are going to help my children with textures, colors, emotions, shapes.
