We will be starting our year reading the novel "A Long Walk to Water". I have purchased a unit study that goes along with the novel and I need access of the novel for all of my students.
"A Long Walk to Water" is great for drawing inferences, identifying character traits, comparing characters and determining the them of a book. We will learn what it takes to be a better reader with a novel that will allow students to apply reading skills they've learned in the past.
This novel will give students a closer look into the water crisis throughout the world. We will also explore ways that we may be able to help with water conservation.
