The use of kinetic sand will benefit my students in multiple ways. They will get their sensory needs met, use their imagination to play and build, and have more opportunities to communicate. Having this play material for them will enhance my students' learning and communication skills, which is the main focus in my classroom.
There are so many skills that can be worked on through fulfilling my students' sensory needs. Along with being able to enhance their creativity, my students with special needs will have more opportunities to practice their fine motor skills. The kinetic sand and play materials will have them pouring, pinching, pulling, pushing, and scooping.
