In today's time of over-testing and assessing students, the creative side of learning is being lost. This is especially true in low-income schools without budgets for library/media centers. Students who learn through hands-on activities show greater problem-solving skills and curiosity for problem-solving.
With the donations of tools, craft items, 3D printer filament, and other items, the students at my school and in my library will have the opportunity to gain skills that will help them become problem solvers, and show them that there are a multitude of careers that can help them rise out the low income, high unemployment rate county and neighborhoods they are currently living in.
Please help me be able to create lessons that help students learn how to self think, solve personal, local, and world problems, develop fine motor skills, become self-aware and see the creativity they have always had inside them but never knew how to express. Thank you for your support.
