As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at our school, I would like to focus on the social and emotional needs of each student.
My goal is to teach students the appropriate coping skills when dealing with a stressful situation. The workbooks will be helpful to use during individual session when working on self-reflection and trauma. Student will be taught several strategies when feeling mixed emotions.
By targeting the social and emotional needs of students it will serve as an intervention to know that their feelings are valid and that they can find support at school. Adolescence is a crucial age since students are going through so many changes.
