At the moment, I do not have access to a printer at any of my three school sites. I was using my personal printer but it has run its course with the heavy printing jobs I have. Having easy access to a colored printer will allow me to create evidence-based communication boards and other visuals that require color. Consequently, many more of my non and low-verbal students will have access to another means of communication. This will provide them with a way to express their basic wants and needs during curricular activities and socialize with peers at school. There is nothing more rewarding than witnessing a student realize the power of words/symbols.
