Our district currently implemented a new curriculum known as Eureka Math. With the use of technology, my students will be more engaged and look forward each day to getting on the tablets with the new keyboards to work independently on an application known as Zearn Math. Zearn Math provides a uniquely integrated approach to math teaching and learning, connecting a rigorous curriculum with a cohesive classroom system through using technology. It allows for my students to use technology integration with a rigorous curriculum such as Eureka Math. Zearn is based on Eureka Math and provides students with a recap of the exact lessons taught in the classroom with a more fun and engaging experiences. When technology is integrated into lessons, students are more likely to be more interested in the subjects they are studying. Technology provides different opportunities to make learning more fun and enjoyable in terms of teaching in new innovative ways. it provides benefits such as organization, efficiency, collaboration, communication, extra help, virtual experiences and so much more. However, our school currently serves approximately 600 students, and we only have two iPad carts (includes 25 each) to share among all the students in school. With my project, we would provide my students 100% access to technology everyday. I recently completed a two week case study with 15 of my students to determine the benefits of using Zearn through technology. My results showed that among the 15 students who used technology, they scored 35% higher on their weekly assessment than the other 45 students.
