We are requesting some basic household supplies so that our students can complete science projects associated with Mystery Science curriculum for the year. These supplies will reduce the burden of teachers and students purchasing the supplies necessary to complete their science projects. This is enough to support all of second grade, benefiting 94 students in all. Some of our projects include creating a bird feeder, simulating erosion, and figuring out why some things melt and others do not. Students will be able to grow radish seeds to discover how plants seek light and growing grass balls to figure out why trees grow so tall. These projects will help reinforce their mastery of the standards.
