A huge factor in having a calm and successful special education classroom is having a comfortable environment. For my 11 students with autism, intellectual disabilities, and sensory processing disorders, the environment plays a huge role in being calm and regulated.
Help us keep our classroom cool and our bodies calm with a portable air conditioning fan (our school is not air conditioned and in Denver, CO, it gets hot!) as well as some alternative seating options that help students stay focused while giving them the option to move around a bit. These also are great for building core strength.
Let me know if you have questions about our project. Thank you so much!
