I want to implement two art projects. One is using watercolor to create an abstract painting. The other one is exploring blending techniques with oil pastels. Through the use of art in the classroom students are able to explore, be curious and express themselves. I believe students who engage in art in school, build innovative thinking skills and learn to take risks. Through the freedom to try new things, students are given he chance to learn from their mistakes and experiment.
Learning outcomes include: practicing color blending, use of warm and cool tones, and differing color intensity through various pressure.
