Our school struggles to establish a culture of excellence, industry and academic accomplishment. In order to further these goals, we have historically highlighted one student, per grade, per week who has demonstrated the kind of hard work, academic excellence and scholarly helpfulness that we want to encourage throughout the school. These students have their names placed on a wall, and their accomplishments read out over the announcements so that the whole school can learn from their positive behavior and so the students can feel as though their hard work is sufficiently recognized. To further show our appreciation and to make these students feel rewarded, they also receive gifts, school supplies, toys, and treats and a certificate or recognition. However, purchasing these supplies is often cost prohibitive for the teachers who have to go out of pocket in order to fund this excellent program of student encouragement. Please help the teachers of our school, continue a tradition of highlighting the highest levels of academic achievement and community involvement.
