Sports help students to problem solve and work as a team towards a common goal. Two huge units that we cover in the school year are volleyball and basketball. These are the two most popular sports with my students. The equipment I am requesting will help me implement how to play the game of basketball and volleyball. Students can learn life long skills by playing sports. For example, students learn to work with others that have a different level of abilities, students have to strategize, and students have to learn to communicate with others during a disagreement. In PE class, students are able to be apart of a team. Some students do not participate in outside leagues for sports, so PE is their only opportunity. I want to help inspire my students to play sports such as volleyball and basketball. Sports helped me keep my grades up, make new friends, and fun memories. I wish to pass this onto my students.
