At my school, our students can take part in a robust, immersive biotechnology course. Students analyze DNA, diagnose genetic disorders, even genetically engineer bacteria just like it's done in a biomedical research lab. This year, it's unclear if our students will get this hands-on experience that can set them up for success in a college science course or future career. Familiarity with the tools used in professional labs can give students confidence and inspire them to pursue careers in science and medicine. With the right classroom camera, students can gain important insight and knowledge about these materials and discover just what's possible in science research!
